the fort lauderdale diving team

The Fort Lauderdale Diving Team offers several programs that will fit your needs. In addition to our competitive teams, we also offer lessons for individuals looking to learn how to dive or to improve their skills.

our diving team Learn to Dive and Competitive team programs include:

Learn to Dive:

There are 3 levels for this program: Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced. The coaching staff will place the divers in their appropriate group. The Beginning group is just that—no diving experience before now. We will teach them the basics and simple dives so they can move to the intermediate group. The Intermediate group is for divers that show promise, a good attitude, willingness to learn new dives and will start learning dives to me more competitive. The Advanced group is for divers like those in the Intermediate group who will start learning harder dives and be prepared to move onto our competitive team, and will start traveling to local and travel events.

Competitive Team:

This group is also divided into 3 groups: Future Champions, Age Group and National Teams. The Future Champions group is for divers to refine their skills while still learning more dives. This group trains up to 3 days per week. The Age Group team is the same as Future Champions, however, they attend training up to 4 days per week. The National Team is our most competitive program. These divers are training to go to the USA Diving National Championships, both junior and senior nationals. These divers train up to 6 days per week.

Masters Team:

For adults looking to continue their diving career through practices and competition. Divers can attend up to 3 days per week or pay a different fee and train up to 6 days per week.

about

High Diving

With the sport of high diving rapidly expanding in popularity (en route to becoming an Olympic event in 2028!), we are beyond excited to usher in a new era of high diving in the United States here at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center. The addition of the 15, 20, 24, & 27 meter platforms to an already iconic diving location makes Fort Lauderdale an ideal high diving destination, and the only facility of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.

With safety as our guiding principle, our goal is to create a competitive, healthy, fun environment where athletes of all skill levels can safely and successfully challenge their mental and physical limits through the sport of high diving. We are thrilled with the many possibilities for high diving programming, and look forward to offering camps & clinics, group lessons, private lessons, competitions and much more in the future as we continue to grow and realize the full potential of this world class facility.
